As a tablet, this compact unit has a nine inch, high-resolution display, and a touch screen that responds to the lightest finger touch. As a notebook, it also has a full keyboard. Clients who have keyboarding skills will find the keyboard size and pressure very usable. Parents, teachers and clinicians will find it very convenient to have the keyboard always available when you need it for configuration changes, and for adding vocabulary and activities. At under four pounds, the system is light enough to take with you wherever you go. The magnesium alloy upper and lower case provides more protection than plastic casings found on other devices. In addition, the hard drive is shock-mounted to protect your communication data. The system battery gets over five hours of continuous use from a full charge, and you can extend the battery life further by letting the backlight turn off automatically whenyou aren't using the device, getting you through the day without a recharge. You can also extend the battery life with an optional external battery and charger. The system also has built-in wireless capa- bility, giving you freedom of movement and continuous connectivity when you are near a wireless access point at home, at school, or at many locations in the community. Surf the internet or e-mail someone around the block or around the world, while communicating with family and friends with a loud, clear voice.
